Congratulations to all three Mytholmroyd Scout teams on completing the Brow Hike this weekend. Team B finished in 12th place, Team A in 5th place and Team C finished in 4th place. A great effort from all who participated, all of whom did the group proud as always.
The date for the Hebden Royd Clean Up has changed to the morning of Sunday 15th March.
The previous date clashed with the Heptonstall Fell Race and Brow Hike competition.
On Saturday 2nd May Mytholmroyd Scout Group will be hosting a Family Quiz Night.
We are organising the evening to raise money for the group. The money will go towards camps, equipment and bills so we can keep running the group successfully. Also the four of us are organising it with the support of Billy so that we can pass the Fundraiser and Administrator Activity Badges.
Tickets cost just £3 for adults and £2.50 for concessions. We will also be serving food and refreshments on the night.
There will be questions to suit all ages and it will be a nice, light hearted night to bring the whole group together and to have some fun!
The quiz starts at 7.30pm, with doors open from 7pm.
For any further information or to purchase tickets, please speak to one of us or email email@example.com
We look forward to seeing you on the night.

A big thank you to all those who gave up their time on Christmas Eve for this year’s bag pack at Sainsbury’s. The money has now been counted and we have raised just over £2000 for group funds which is excellent!
As well as raising funds you were all a credit to Mytholmroyd Scout Group and Scouting in general.
Well Done and Happy New Year!
We are pleased to announce that next year’s summer camp will be at Ratlingate Scout Camping Centre near Carlisle.
We will once again be sharing our camp with Ballymoney Scout Group from Northern Ireland.
We have booked the campsite from July 25th to August 1st. We will ask for names and deposits once we have worked out the costings.
Scout and Explorer Leaders
We had two groups representing Mytholmroyd at this year’s Nighthawk Challenge, ran by Huddersfield North Scouts. Our Scout team came finished in second place and our Explorer Team came third, with them being arguably being the youngest Explorer team involved too. A great effort from both teams – well done!
To all parents and carers,
At our Annual General Meeting a vote was passed in favour of increasing the subscriptions.
The new amounts are:
£42.00 per quarter for Beavers and Cubs
£48.00 per quarter for Scouts and Explorers
Copies of the appropriate standing order forms are attached. Please inform your bank of the changed standing order before 1st October 2014.

Here are just a few photographs from our recent Summer Camp in Croatia. During our time out there we went caving, rock climbing, hiking, mountain biking, white water rafting and swimming. We spent the majority of our time in the town of Fuzine whilst visiting the capital city of Zagreb for a few days as well. As well as taking part in various outdoor activities, we met international Scouts, took part in some cultural experiences and above all, had lots of fun!

We need to put up our two marquees at Overgate Hospice in Elland on Friday night. Can you please ask your parents to come down to the Scout room on Friday at 7pm to help put them up.
